02 write                                                              v.写作；写字

变 时态变化 writing/wrote/written

延writer n.作家

配write to sb.写信给某人             write down写下；记下

例The teacher wrote the answers on the blackboard.老师把答案写在黑板上。

03 famous                                                       adj.著名的；出名的

记fam(名誉）＋－ous(形容词后缀）→著名的

近well-known adj.出名的；知名的

配be famous for 因·····而出名         be famous as作为······而出名

例He wanted a famous artist to paint his picture.他想请一位知名的画家来为自己作画。

04 stop                                                        n.停止 n.车站；停止

变 时态变化 stopping/stopped/stopped

配come to a stop 停止               bus stop公共汽车站

stop doing sth.停止做某事             stop to do sth.停下去做另一件事

例I saw Dave walking slowly to the bus stop.我看见戴夫慢慢地走向公共汽车站。

05 might                                                       modal v.可能；可以

例She might get there in time, but I can't be sure.她可能会准时到达那里，但是我不敢肯定。

06 beautiful                                                     adj.美丽的；美好的

反ugly adj.丑陋的

辩beautiful是一种几乎接近完美的美。它指人时通常形容女人或小孩，很少用于描写男子。handsome多用于描写男性的英俊潇洒，有时也形容女人，指其五官端正，体态秀丽。lovely描写人时，主要指女人和小孩的相貌，语气不如beautiful强。pretty多形容妇女、儿童以及小巧玲珑、精美可爱之物。

例She was a very beautiful woman.她是个大美女。

07 visit                                            v.拜访；参观 n.参观；游览；看望

记vis-(看见）＋－it(名词后缀）→拜访

延visitor n.游客，参观者

配pay a visit to 参观

例She went to visit relatives in Wales.她去威尔士看望亲戚了。

08 working                                                 adj.有工作的；有职业的

例She is a working mother.她是一位在职母亲。

09 happy                                                       adj.愉快的；高兴的

变 比较／最高级 happier/happiest

配feel happy感到快乐               make sb. happy令某人高兴

a happy family一个幸福的家庭

例Marina was a confident, happy child.玛丽娜是个自信、快乐的孩子。
