Alan Smith is blind. He teaches blind children in his country. To show the world that the blind can also do something amazing, he walked across the world’s largest salt desert, Salar de Uyuni, only with the help of a GPS.

A boy named Mickey was really good at football at a very young age. He was born to be a football player. Everyone believed he would be a star player until a bad day came to him—he got ill. At the very beginning, the illness didn’t seem very serious. So his parents thought he just met with a small problem that could happen to every child. All people around him simply thought he caught cold. Yet, after Mickey took some medicine, he got worse. Instead, he worked hard with the artificial(人造的) hands and legs. It took him only two years to successfully find his way back into sports. That’s a really huge progress that amazed many people. He even won prizes in the world-famous competitions. It encouraged him to perform better.

On a beautiful morning, Mickey decided to start a website: mickeysrun.com to help people with similar experiences like him. Since then, many disabled people shared their experiences on the website, which encourages more people to be positive. One day, he was interviewed by a TV program to say about his story. He said, “Life may be hard for us sometimes, but believe that we have the ability to make our own life meaningful. Keep smiling! Sunshine will show up after the hard part is gone.”
