In July 2019, a friend of mine and I went on a trip in the south of France. We did it for fun and we went on an exciting trip even though we didn’t have enough money.

We started the trip in Paris and we finished it in Carcassonne. We took the train from Paris to Nice and then we took the ferry over to the island (岛屿). It took us 25 hours to get to Ajaccio. When we arrived, we found a poor school without electricity (电). We stayed for two weeks, going for walks and sightseeing.

We ran out of money and we had to find a job. But we couldn’t find one in Ajaccio, then we went to Carassonne because we heard that we could find a job there. At last, we found jobs as dishwashers in a hotel. After twenty days working we had enough to buy our tickets and we went back home.

One day, Joe was on his way home. When he walked along the street, he heard a weak cry. Joe stopped walking and looked around. At last he found a little dog. It was thin and dirty. Its cry sounded sad. Jim went to it, “Come on! I’ll take you home.”

Joe’s mother didn’t like the animal. She said to Joe, “You know, your father doesn’t like dogs. We can’t keep the dog with us. What about giving it to a person who likes dogs? In a small tree, there lived a squirrel（松鼠）and a bird. During the summer, the squirrel spent a lot of time getting food to store in the tree. The bird would just fly around all day and have fun.

One day, the bird asked the squirrel, “Squirrel, why do you work so hard?” the squirrel answered, “Because I need to make sure I have lots of food when winter comes.” The bird laughed at（嘲笑）the squirrel. “Aren’t you tired?
