二、课文重要知识点

1. How's the weather in Shanghai?上海的天气怎么样?(教材第49页)

(1)How's the weather?意为“天气怎么样?”,是用来询问天气状况的常用句型,也可以用“ What's the weather like?”来表示。在句末可以加上“介词+地点/季节”等短语表示“某地/某季节的天气如何”。

—How's the weather in Beijing? (= What's the weather like in Beijing?)北京的天气怎么样?

—It's cloudy.多云。

—How's the weather here in summer? 这儿夏天的天气怎么样?

—It's hot.天气很热

(2) weather不可数名词,意为“天气”,不能与不定冠词a,an连用。其同音异形词是whether(是否)。

fine weather睛天   cloudy weather阴天   weather forecast天气预报 

What good weather!多么好的天气啊!

• 2. Are you studying hard, or are you having fun? 你在努力学习吗？或者是玩得很愉快？(教材第53页)

(1)hard此处用作副词,意为“努力地,辛苦地”。 study hard意为“努力学习”, work hard意为“努力学习;努力工作”。 Mary is working hard at her English.玛丽正在努力学习英语

[拓展]①hard作副词时,还可意为“猛烈地;重重地;大量地”相当于 heavily

You need to hit the ball hard.你需要用力击球

It's raining hard.雨下得很大

②hard还可作形容词,意为“困难的,费力的,坚硬的,艰难的”,作“困难的”讲时同义词为difficult,反义词为easy(容易的);作“坚硬的”讲时反义词为soft(柔软的)

• hard adj. 难的；困难的= difficult。   sb. find(s) it hard to do sth. 发现做某事是困难的。

That's a hard question.那是个难题。

The chair is too hard. I don't like it这把椅子太硬了、我不喜欢

He lives a very hard life他的日子计得很艰难

(2) have fun = have a good time = enjoy oneself 玩得高兴，过得愉快。

3. I'm so happy to see them again.再次见到他们我是如此高兴。(教材第53页)

be happy to do sth.意为“很高兴做某事”。此处happy相当于gad

I'm happy/glad to see you.见到你我很高兴

He will be happy to see you.他看见你会高兴的

• 4. One girl is skating on a river and a man is taking a photo of a snowman.一个女孩正在河上滑冰，一位男士正在拍一张雪人的照片。

take a photo为固定短语，意为“拍照；照相”，相当于take photos。

take a photo of sb/sth 意为“给某人/某物照相；拍一张某人/某物的照片。”

如:They are taking photos of themselves by the beautiful lake. 他们正在那个美丽的湖边给自己拍照。
