知识要点一：would like的用法

教材原文What would you like?你想要什么?

    would like意为“想要；愿意”，和want意思相近，但比want语气委婉。其后可接名词、代词或动词不定式。would可缩写为-d的形式，用于主语之后。would为情态动词，无人称和数的变化。如：

    Lucy would like some eggs.露西想要一些鸡蛋。

    Would you like to go with us?你想和我们一起去吗?

【温馨提示】

    ①“Would you like some....句式常用于表示客气地向某人提供某物，其肯定回答常用“Yes，please.”；否定回答常用“No，thanks.”。此句型中用some而不用any。

    ②“Would you like to do...?”句式常用于向对方提出建议或发出邀请，其肯定回答可用“Yes，I'd love to.”；否定回答可用 “I’d love to，but...”.

例:---Would you like_______a film with us tonight?

---Sorry，I have to help my mother do housework.

    size是名词，意为“尺寸；尺码；大小”，既可以用来表示物体的大小，也可以用来表示服装、鞋帽等的尺码。常用large、medium、small等来回答。如：

    ---What size bowl of noodles would you like?您想要多大碗的面条?

    ---Large，please.请来大碗的。

---What size shoes do you need? 您需要多大号的鞋?

---Size 37. 37号。

知识要点三：There be句型

教材原文Are there any vegetables in the beef soup? 牛肉汤里有蔬菜吗?

    本句为There be句型。常用于表示“有某物”。此句型中的there无实际意义，句中真正的主语是be动词后的名词或名词短语。其主要用法如下：

(1)There be句型的一般疑问句结构为：Is/Are there...?Is there a book in your bag?你包里有书吗?

(2)There be句型的否定句结构为：There isn't/aren't...There aren't any students in the classroom.

教室里没有任何学生。

(3)当be动词后为单数名词或不可数名词时，be动词应使用单数形式i；当be动词后为复数名词时，be动词应使用复数形式are。

There is some water in the cup.       杯子里有一些水。

There are many strangers in the street. 街上有许多陌生人。 

【温馨提示】

  如果be动词后为几个并列名词作主语时，be动词应与离它最近的名词保持单复数的一致。

如：There is a bottle and two cups on the shelf. 

    架子上有一个瓶子和两个杯子。
