1. Last Sunday, Peter and his mother went to the Space Museum. 

上周日，Peter 和他的妈妈去了太空博物馆。

last 在句中表示“上一个的”  

last Sunday 表示“上周日”, 类似的还有： last week 上周   last year 去年   last month 上个月，句中含有last 的时间状语时，句子要用一般过去时。

2. Peter was interested in the film and wanted to find out more about the Earth and the stars.  

Peter 对这部电影很感兴趣，他想找出更多关于地球和星星的知识。

be interested in 表示“对..感兴趣”, 主语必须是人。如：

I am interested in English。 我对英语感兴趣.

find out 表示经过调查研究后“找出；查明”

look for 表示“寻找”，强调找的动作。
